Carmel and Dean made us feel at home in their amazing house. From the moment we met them we knew we were in good hands. Their home is spotless clean and you want for nothing from the time you arrive. They are a wonderful family with so much to offer. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making our trip to Wexford so special. We had an incredible family stay at Captiva Wexford and honestly couldn’t fault a thing! The house was spotless, spacious, and so well thought out for families. There were 25 of us 11 Adults, 5 teenagers and 10 children. Every room was beautifully set up, and the kitchen and living areas had everything we needed (and more!).
The outdoor space was perfect for the kids, the teenagers were well occupied. It just felt like a home away from home. You can really tell how much care has gone into making it a comfortable, relaxing space for guests.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday home in Wexford, this is the one — we’ll definitely be back!

It is very rare for a property to be better than the photos used to showcase it. Captiva Villa is most definitely better in reality than on line. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need along with a very generous welcome pantry. Check in, feel instantly at home and enjoy all the facilities. A perfect venue for multi generational gatherings. Carmel and Dean are attentive and every question answered promptly. Our extended family enjoyed an unforgettable 3 night stay.

We recently stayed at Captiva with our family to celebrate my birthday. The house is just a fantastic place to host a large group & the facilities were first class. We were lucky to be blessed with gorgeous weather & made great use of the outside facilities, hot tub, BBQ, Tennis Court & 3 different seating areas. The inside of the house is so spacious, with loads of room for everyone, we especially loved the games room with the pool table, cinema style TV & bar facilities. Dean & Carmel were fantastic hosts & really went out of their way to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hopefully we'll be back to Captiva & would recommend it to anyone. Just first class!!!

When the children are sad to leave, you know you have found the perfect home away from home for a family getaway.
We had a fabulous bank holiday weekend at Captiva. 16 people with plenty of space, activities and areas indoor and outdoor to gather together. The children/adults big and small had loads to do. Playground, trampolines, hot tub, tennis court, games room, pool table, large screen for sport/movies with surround sound system.
Kitchen was fully equipped with a large space to cater for a big group. Bedrooms were clean, comfortable and all ensuite. Additional beds and bedding available if required.
Close proximity to the beach and local town for takeaway, pub and shops.
The house itself has everything you need and more. Spotlessly clean, spacious and homey.
Carmel and Dean are amazing hosts. From booking dates, providing information before arrival of what we do and don't need and then meeting us in person to show us how to settle in their home.
Thank you so much much for a fabulous weekend. Your home provided everything we needed and more for a family weekend together.
We all loved our stay at Captiva and cannot wait to return!

We had such a lovely stay in this house in November 2024. The weather was miserable but there was so much to do in the house and so much space, that it didn't really matter. We opted in for catering one of the nights and the food was delicious. We'll come again in the summer time so that we can make use of the outside space next time. Thanks Carmel and Dean!

We had the most wonderful weekend in this fabulous house . It was my husbands 50th birthday and we had a large family gathering. We all slept brilliantly and availed of everything the house had to offe. The teenagers especially loved playing tennis and we all played snooker and enjoyed the hot tub after a cold dip in the sea which is minutes away . Dean and Carmel were beyond helpful and their daughters Millie and Connie greeted us at the house and were so friendly ,warm and welcoming . We will def be back .

I found that their was something for everyone in the house from tennis, to the cinema, the bar and the beautifully decorated bedrooms. I thought it was a great house that would suit for a holiday or celebration.

Our recent family stay in Captiva Wexford was nothing short of spectacular. The house itself was a perfect blend of comfort and charm with some added WOW, offering all the modern amenities while still retaining a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious rooms were immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, making us feel at home from the moment we walked in.
The kitchen was fully equipped, which made preparing meals a breeze, and the large dining area was ideal for our family dinners. We also used the BBQ area which again was supplied with all we needed! The cinema room / games/ bar room was another highlight, with its comfortable seating that quickly became our favorite spot to unwind in the evenings.
The kids playroom of course was also a huge hit.
We were an extended family of 11 adults and 6 children and the house still felt spacious. There was always a quiet corner to escape to if needed!
Outside, the garden was an oasis of tranquility. The kids loved playing on the expansive playground and trampolines, while we enjoyed relaxing on the patio, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. With the Olympics still underway while we were there , we were inspired to try all the activities the house had to offer - tennis, basketball, pool, air hockey , trampolining - ample facilities and equipment to keep the kids and kids at heart entertained!! The hot tub of course was a highlight to relax in in the evening once the kids were asleep after the days activities!
The house's location was perfect—just a short drive from Kilmuckridge village and the beaches, yet secluded enough to offer peace and quiet.
One of the best parts of our stay was the host's hospitality. They took time to show us around the house and provided thoughtful touches throughout the house, including putting up decorations as we were celebrating a family birthday (my mother's 70th). They also met us for check out and took time to speak to everyone (even giving the kids ice pops!) and made sure we had a fantastic time. They were also incredibly responsive prior to our stay.
Overall, our stay in Wexford was truly amazing. The house exceeded our expectations in every way, and we left with wonderful memories that our family will cherish for years to come. We can't wait to hopefully return for the next occasion!

Fantastic setup with large common areas, ample outdoor space, tonnes of cutlery and cooking facilities for a larger group. Tennis court and cinema room truly novelty!

We just spent the weekend here. And it was perfect. Carmel and Dean are the most generous and caring hosts I have ever come across. Their house is perfect and they made sure we had everything we needed. We were a family group ranging in ages for 2 - 80 years. This house was perfect for us. Plenty of beautiful bedrooms. And so many varied facilities and activities. All the kids/teens were fully occupied all weekend. The kitchen is fully equipped. The location is beautiful and peaceful countryside and really close to local town and beach. Couldn’t recommend this house more. Can’t wait to go back.

Great great spot with Dean and Carmel - fabulous property that is kept really well and has everything that a larger group may need. Lots of large bedrooms, great outdoor space, tennis court, cinema room, 2 very large lounge areas. There's a beach nearby, and other nice ones within 15 minutes drive, and the village of Kilmuckridge has some entertainment on offer. Highly recommended.

Just back from a great weekend at Captiva. We booked the house for a 50th birthday for my husband, and it did not disappoint. We had 12 people ranging in age from 17 to 50ish, and there was something for everyone. The house is huge, so there is plenty of space for everyone. From the time we booked Carmel and Dean were on hand from start to finish, even ringing on the morning to tell us the house would be ready early because we had said we were going to leave early to beat the traffic. Carmel booked a table for us in the village for our breakfast on Saturday and had the dining table in the house laid out for us to use. There is everything in the house that you need. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the outside area. A couple of the lads got in the hot tub. The rest of us weren't so brave. Hopefully, we get to go down again in warmer weather and use the outside space. Thanks, Carmel and Dean, for giving us a weekend to remember. We look forward to getting back down again.

Just back from a wonderful few days in Captiva, Carmel and Dean were so helpful with all our questions and requests. The house is amazing with lots to do, we enjoyed a few games of pool in the bar/ cinema room and watched the football on the big screen.
Everything we could have needed was supplied in the house including a big larder fully stocked with all the essentials. All the bedrooms were huge, clean and very comfortable.
the outside had lots to keep you occupied inc hot tub, tennis court and a lovely outdoor bar area with stove and tv. Wifi was great and they had all the apps you could need preloaded inc Netflix, amazon prime and all the sports channels. I cant wait to rebook for a warmer time of year to really get the use of the amazing outdoor space. thanks Carmel and Dean.

Dean and Carmel were such welcoming hosts. The house was pristine when we got there and had everything we were looking for and more. We spent the weekend there with grandparents, 2 couples and 6 kids ranging in age from 9 to 16 and there was something for everyone. The cinema and games rooms were incredible and the outdoor space is great with tennis court, trampolines and hot tub. We would highly recommend this house and look forward to returning there again soon.

We had a fantastic family staycation at Captiva! Dean and Carmel were the perfect hosts, maintaining contact with me from the minute I booked right up to when we arrived, ensuring everything was exactly as we needed it and giving us a full tour and plenty of guidance as to how to enjoy the house to its full potential. The house is ideal for a group getaway, so spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped, loads for the kids to do and explore, and a fantastic outdoor area too. The adults also had a blast in the den! I would highly recommend! Can't wait to come back again next year.

Super space for a large extended family getaway. We found this a great alternative to booking a hotel as it gave us space to spend time with the family during the day/night. The adults and older children enjoyed games of pool and darts while the younger children had a great time in the games room which was full of toys.

Fab house, we had a ball over the Halloween weekend, the owners decorated the house for us also, so kind. House has everything a family could want. Beaches near by, enough to keep the kids entertained on site for rainy days. Highly recommended 👌 The owners are so lovely and always on hand for any questions. We felt very at home. Most definitely will return in the future.

We booked the house for a weekend for family as my brother and wife were over visiting from Australia. There's plenty of room for 12 people! The house is huge, amazing and clean. There was plenty to keep us entertained from the cinema room, pool table and bar to the jacuzzi! Dean and Carmel were very helpful and friendly and the whole experience was so easy from start to finish. Thank you Dean and Carmel for lending your beautiful home to us. We visited Dean’s Airbnb to celebrate together as a family. We had an absolute great time. The space is excellent for families of all ages. Dean was very helpful as a host and only ever a call away. He provided very clear instructions on how to work the various great facilities. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Fantastic hosts, absolutely amazing house both inside & out, several outside dining areas and hot tub were completely private yet located in sun traps. Cinema room, pool table and games room were a hit with our entire group - family of 8 with 6 teenagers/young adults ranging from 15 to 20yrs. In addition beach within 5minutes drive from house. To cap it all we had amazing weather for the week, we’ll definitely return next year.
